Based on 2009-2010 Combined Tax Rates for every $10,000 Charlotte residents would pay additional $129.73.  

State law requires that revaluations must be performed at least  once every eight years. Many counties perform these more often, usually every four years, in order to equalize the tax base. Mecklenburg County performs revaluations every 4 to 8 years as determined by the Tax Assessor and Board of County Commissioners.  The last countywide revaluation was completed on January 1, 2003.
